Recovery is a system
The vacuum motor cannot compensate for a damaged blade, blocked hose, loose tank lid or excessive foam. Good pickup depends on an airtight path from the floor through the squeegee and recovery system.
Cleaning-path width and squeegee width are different measurements. The squeegee is normally wider so it can gather solution during turns; verify that extra width fits narrow passages.
Why water gets left behind
Debris beneath the blade, incorrect pitch, worn edges, tight turns and uneven floors are common causes. Start with inspection and cleaning before assuming the vacuum motor has failed.
Use only low-foam products approved for the machine. Foam can trigger early shutoff or threaten the vacuum system even when the recovery tank appears partly empty.
