The rear blade must maintain consistent contact while allowing recovered solution to move toward the vacuum inlet. Nicks, waves, hardened material and incorrect pitch create visible trails.

Many blades provide multiple usable edges and can be rotated according to the manual. Rotation is not a repair for a torn or permanently deformed blade.

Material and floor texture interact

Natural rubber, urethane and other compounds wear and flex differently. Oil exposure, rough concrete and smooth resilient floors do not impose the same demands.

Before replacing parts, clean the blade and channel, clear the hose, inspect the tank seal and verify adjustment. A new blade will not fix a blocked recovery path.
